The first half of the book I found interesting, and even though the author marvels over MacDonald, I just don’t find him all that impressive. But he was undoubtedly the nation maker. I just found the last half of the book entirely boring. Not to the fault of Gwynn. WebbHe became a Fellow of St John's College, Cambridge in 1625; and was incorporated at Oxford in 1639.
