WebDec 10, 2014 · Connect new SSD to sata port 1. If you have a windows disk or USB try to install windows onto it. Get to the disk partition section and format it. Cancel installation. Power down. Replug in old harddrive, boot into windows, check disk management again. Oh and double check sata mode is set to AHCI in the bios. WebNov 24, 2024 · Until it shows in the BIOS nothing will see it. Remove power and CMOS battery for a few minutes set it on port 0 set the BIOS to uefi see if it sees it then. If not look for any BIOS updates. You could try in another pc creating a 200 gig partition and see if it then sees it. I can only think the BIOS can't see big SSD.
