WebI've recently moved my multiple TBs of photos/videos to a Synology NAS in another room. That, along with changing my computer from a MacBook Pro (i9) to Mac mini M2 Pro has made my workspace absolutely silent!! Edited to add: I'm using Capture One Pro with referenced libraries so the catalog is local and the photo files are on the NAS.
